I would like to express my support for the nomination of Johan Eriksson to the SGIR Steering Committee 2007-2010. Johan Eriksson has during several years been of great importance for the Swedish political science association's section on international affairs and would without doubt be similarly beneficial for the SGIR.

I hereby strongly support Johan Eriksson's nomination. He is one of the leading Scandinavian scholars in IR/Security studies. His track record shows, among other things, articles in leading academic journals, monographs, chapters as well as editing important books, organizing conferences and creating scientific networks. In sum, Eriksson is a highly talented and creative researcher and organizer within the field.

I would like to support Johan Eriksson' nomination to the SGIR steering committee. He is an excellent scholar who possesses great intellectual curiosity, always striving to explore different research areas and to contribute to the development of IR. He is also a much appreciated colleague and academic advisor. I believe both these qualities make him an excellent member of the committee.

I would like to offer my support to Dr. Johan Eriksson’s nomination to be a member of the SGIR Steering Committee. He has published widely on a variety of subjects relevant to the SGIR and has made important contributions in work covering security politics, digital security, cyber-terrorism, and the link between the academic study of international relations and the training of practitioners, among other topics. In addition to his University position, I know that Dr. Eriksson has been active in key positions of responsibility at the Swedish Institute of International Affairs (SIIA), where he has directed a number of research projects. In short, Dr. Eriksson is an extremely well qualified candidate and would make an excellent addition to the SGIR Steering Committee.

Kind regards,
Charles Parker, Ph.D.

He fulfils all the requirments to be an excellent ember and contribute t the growth of IR studies n Europe.
Most of all, however, he has been working on the advanced issue of IR in the digital age that should now be fully considered within the steering committee.
